Our mission is to enhance and enrich education opportunities for all students of the Canby School District through financial assistance and community-wide volunteerism

CEF awards grant funding requests from the Canby School District staff.

Educators submit their grant applications detailing educationally enriching projects for their students and outlining funds necessary to accomplish their goals.

After funds have been awarded, grant recipients follow up with the CEF  Board of Directors to provide project outcome,

student feedback, and final use of funding.

The city of Canby hosts a population of approximately 18,000 people, and growing.

A closely-held community, Canby's patrons willingly support their local businesses, resources and education at events such as CEF's, A Taste of Autumn, held at Oakview Acres.

This annual dinner is attended by the public and all proceeds are awarded to grant applicants within the Canby School District fpr the following year.

The Unsung Hero is an award presented to a community member with great passion, vision and generosity.

These individuals continually go above and beyond their call of duty while supporting education.

The award is given in recognition of former CEF Board Member with benevolent

community support, Roger Reif. It is in Reif's honor we have such award.

The Canby Educational Foundation (CEF) was founded in 1997. Since its inception, CEF has been able to help support the Canby School District with over $1,000,000 generated through private donations, endowments, and fundraising efforts.
