The Canby Educational Foundation (CEF) was founded in 1997 when a Canby community member made a generous initial donation of $100,000.00 to establish the foundation. Since its inception, CEF has received nearly $1,000,000 through private donations, endowments and fundraising activities.

We award dollars to the Canby School District for curriculum enhancement through a grant process.  CEF has funded amplification systems in over half the elementary schools (click the "How You Can Help" menu for more information). Recent smaller grants include: math calculators, math software, an elementary school Bridges in Mathematics program, field trip dollars (fees and transportation), and several Artist-in-Residence programs (Mosaic tile walls at Trost and Eccles Elementary Schools and  masks on display at Carus Elementary).

There are many projects underway to bring additional funds into CEF, and continuing support from our community is key to supporting our students.

The Canby Educational Foundation is a 501(c)3 tax-exempt organization.  All monies donated to the foundation are deductible to the full extent a charitable contribution is allowed on Federal and State tax returns.
