More Grant Information
Applicants are encouraged to plan ahead and submit a completed application to meet the above submission dates. Canby Educational Foundation (CEF) may choose to consider special grant requests during interim funding periods on a case by case basis. Applicants are invited to attend the presentation meeting to review requests and answer any inquiries the Board may have. Please call Maureen Callahan, District Liaison to the CEF Board, if you need help with your Grant Application.
Grant approval is at the discretion of the CEF Board of Directors and is subject to availability of funds. For the 2011-2012 school year, the Foundation has a limited amount budgeted for grant awards. Funds for projects approved will be available through Canby School District requisition forms. CEF then reimburses the District.
Guidelines for Grant Application Evaluation
The CEF will give priority consideration to applications that include one or more of the following:

- A project or activity that provides that seeks multiple sources of funding;
- A project or activity that demonstrates an ability to leverage community resources.
In general, CEF funding will not support
- Activities benefiting a single applicant;
- Payment for substitute teaching;
- A project or activity already in progress or completed;
- Athletic activities;
- Transportation costs for field trips or other activities.
